Kent State University is committed to providing all of the personal and electronic student services needed to assist in your college career. This page has been developed to provide you with a collection of links to some of the most used services across the Kent State system. Academic Advising
Explains the different types of advising available at Kent State University and provides links to various advising offices.

Admissions
Learn about Kent State University at the Admissions Web site. You can take a virtual campus tour, make a reservation for a daily campus tour, register for our visitation programs (Academic Discovery Days), request information, and submit your application for admission online or check for more information about Ohio scholarships.

Adult Student Center
Provides support to adult learners to reduce some of the stress and anxiety that comes along with balancing college, career and family responsibilities. This site contains information on workshops, graduation, scholarships and other information useful for adult learners.

Affirmative Action
Supplies information on the office's policy and governmental regulations. Affirmative Action is the name given to programs whose primary intent is to: eliminate unlawful discrimination in employment and educational opportunities, remedy lingering effects of past discrimination and create systems and procedures to prevent future discrimination.

Bookstore
Offers online ordering, store and contact information. In addition to books this site offers computer software and Kent State University merchandise.

Bursar's Office
Provides links to information about fees, billing dates, payment deadlines, payment options, financial aid disbursement, and refund policies, as well as online payment of fees. The Bursar's Office is the office responsible for billing and collection of student fees as well as the disbursement of financial aid funds.

Campus Bus Service (PARTA)
Presents the different services offered by PARTA/Campus Bus Service. The site provides an online bus schedule and contact information. Whether you are going to class, downtown Kent, Akron, or Cleveland, PARTA is the most inexpensive and the safest way to travel. PARTA is a multi-transportation service provider that offers local area routes both on and off campus.

Career Services Center
Supplies information about the Career Services Center at Kent State University, which provides centralized, comprehensive services in four primary areas: career education, career employment, student employment, and academic testing services.

Computer Labs
Displays a list of the different computer labs on campus along with hours of operation and software programs available at each lab.

Counseling Center
Provides personal counseling and human development services to members of the Kent State University community and to non-KSU area residents. The site displays hours of operation, contact information and how the counseling center might help.

Dining Services
Offers links to different dining locations available on campus along with their hours of operation. This page also links to the FLASHCard site, which provides information on food plans, FLASHCard locations, hours of operation for the office and information on how to manage your FLASHCard account.

Enrollment Management and Student Affairs
Presents an array of out-of-classroom needs for Kent State students. The services offered by the division have been designed to support student success from pre-enrollment to post-graduation. Links are provided to various offices to assist the student in finding this support information.

FLASHCard
The FLASHcard is your Kent State University ID card and more. Your card will let you take materials out of the KSU libraries, access services such as SRWC & athletic events, and purchase goods and services both on and off campus. If you have a food plan, you will use your FLASHcard to purchase meals in our dining halls. You may also deposit money on your FLASHcard and create a debit account.

FlashLine (accessible from Kent State home page)
Offers single sign-on into Kent State Web applications including Web for Students, Web for Faculty and Advisors and other important resources. This Web portal also features a customizable Web portal page for each student, Web-based e-mail system, space for student organization Web sites, personalized Web-based calendar, access to features to enhance classroom learning and more.

Graduation Fair
Strives to provide all a student needs to know about graduation.

Helpdesk
Provides technical support from troubleshooting and virus protection to networking issues and tutorials.  The Web site features links, forms, knowledge bases, frequently asked questions and a range of other resources for computer-related issues.

Housing
Provides a summary of halls and publications for incoming housing students. Includes room and board costs, benefits and other useful hall information.

Contract Renewal
Renew your residence hall contract online.

Online Housing Application
Provides access to the housing application for students who do not currently live in an on-campus residence hall.

Identification Card (FLASHCard)
Supplies information about your Kent State University identification card (FLASHcard). The FLASHcard is your Kent State University ID card and more. Your card will let you take materials out of the KSU Libraries, access services such as SRWC and athletic events, and purchase goods and services both on and off campus. This site explains how to obtain and use your FLASHcard.

Judicial Affairs
Provides address, phone and fax contact information. The Judicial Affairs office's mission is to ensure the safety and security of the University community throughout the use of educational programming and sanctioning and providing educational opportunities for hearing participants concerning due process of conflict resolution.

Kent State Learning Communities
Offers links to an online application, contact information and the following learning communities: EXCEL, Pathways, PEP Community, C.B.C., Student Scholars Serving the Community, Science Learning Community, Honors Plaza / Honors College. Kent State University Learning Communities enable students to live and learn together in a more inclusive and supportive atmosphere that addresses the academic and personal needs of each individual student.

Kent Student Center
Presents links to information about facilities located within the student center and offers information on upcoming student center events.

Online Learning
Supplies information about the distance learning staff as well as current and future course offerings and contact information. Please visit this page often to find out what's new in distance learning.

Orientation(s)

New Student Orientation
Provides information on pre-semester programs offered to help new students with their transition to college. Also provides links to relevant sites and helpful hints for succeeding in the first year of college.

University Orientation
Further assists students with the transition to the university, explains the university orientation course and provides links to other relevant sites and offices. The course serves an essential role in advising students concerning course selection and focusing on the academic, personal and social issues relevant to college life.

Parking Services
Offers service-oriented information, which includes: permit purchases, citation appeals, directions, a current Campus Map, and our Motorist Assistance Program.

Recreational Services
Provides information on programs, facilities and facility hours of operation, special events and memberships. This site is your online resource for recreation, fitness and wellness pursuits.

Registrar's Office
Presents important information concerning registration and your student record. You can access a searchable Schedule of Classes (updated weekly) for LERs, Web-based sections, diversity sections; access registration information, such as, entry schedules and term calendars; KAPS information; Selective Service verification; athletic eligibility; diploma processing and degree posting; plus much more information on your Kent State University student records.

Residence Services
Supplies existing resident hall students with resources and information of hall living. Get information on ResNet, ResTV, Security, Departmental Information, Family Housing, Computer Labs and important phone numbers.

Student Credit Union
Offers information on membership, hours of operation and fees. There are also financial calculators and an online application.

Student Accessibility Services
Provides assistance to students with varying degrees and types of disabilities in order to maximize educational opportunity and academic potential. The site provides information on testing, adaptive technology and eligibility along with hours of operation and contact information.

Student Employment
Links to a site where you can search for full-time and part-time employment on campus.

Student Financial Aid
Examines the four basic types of aid available: scholarships (including Ohio scholarships), loans, grants and employment programs, as well as, the financial aid process. The site also provides online forms and interactive programs like the Awards Estimator and Scholarship Search Qualifier.

Student Legal Services
Provides general information about the non-profit law firm at Kent State, scope of its services, basic legal information, helpful links and other useful materials for students.

Student Multicultural Center
Serves as an advocate in assuring the successful enrollment, retention and graduation of under-represented undergraduate students. This page provides links to programs like: Kupita/Transiciones, STARS, the Mentoring program and Karamu Ya Wahitimu.

Student Ombuds
Provide students confidential consultation in assisting with the possible resolution of any university-related concern, grievance or appeal. The Ombuds Office has established itself as an objective, nonbiased operation that continues to work towards developing a fair and equitable university community.

University Health Services
Supplies information and links for various services, including the Online Drugstore, the travel clinic, the medical clinic, the office of student health promotion, psychological services, ambulance services, medical records, and student health insurance.

Women's Resource Center
Offers a calendar of events and women's programs as well as resources for students, staff, and faculty. Kent State University Women's Resource Center exists to facilitate the advancement of and to enhance the quality of educational experience and professional life for women students, faculty and staff of all campuses.
